Split Rock Park

Enjoy quartzite rock formations along Split Rock River and interesting architecture of the WPA (Works Progress Administration of the 1930′s) featuring a dam with waterfall, bathhouse, bridges and rock wall with flower garden. The quartzite used in the structures was hand quarried locally. Primitive camping, canoeing, fishing, hiking, picnicking are just some of the activities to enjoy with your family at this park. The park includes nine tent only camping spots in the north area of the park which is a beautiful “back to nature” area. The south part of the park includes four electrical pads for campers and thirteen additional spots without electricity for tents or campers. For additional information on the camping, call 594-2225. Pontoon rides on the scenic Split Rock River are available.
